Tahini is definitely one of my favorite ingredients and I’m capable of adding it everywhere. So you are likely to see it mentioned quite often here in this blog, especially if it’s a practical recipe like this.
What I’m sharing today is a potential taste that can be evolved into many type of sauce.
It basically contains 2 ingredients only: orange juice and tahini. You just mix these two and you have a sugar-free, sweet cream that you can eat either with breakfast or use for desserts. If you add other extra stuff, then surprise, you have a totally new sauce. It surely goes great with crispy falafels, colorful fresh salads or appetizers.
- 8 tbsp tahini
- 4 tbsp orange juice
Tahini cream basic formula:
(x amount of orange juice) + (2x amount of tahini)
- In a jar or bowl, put tahini first
- Add the half amount orange juice
- Whisk together until smooth
Your basis is ready. If you intend to transform this silky cream into a more fluid sauce for your dishes, then prepare your other ingredients.
2 cloves garlic
2 tbsp lemon juice
3 tbsp water (more if needed)
Combine all ingredients and blend them in a food processor.
Now you can dip your falafels into it.
